Citizens' Panel is a cop-out - Tories shoud fulfil their election promises
I NOTE from your recent articles and correspondence that the council intends to use a Citizens' Panel of just 1,400 people to decide the fate of Crewe's war memorial. How democratic is this? The Government would not accept such low numbers of the electorate in deciding to hold a referendum, so why should the Council think it has the right?
