Sir Bobby Charlton OBE
Football legend Sir Bobby was born in Northumberland in October 1937. After being spotted by Manchester United scout Joe Armstrong at the tender age of 16, Sir Bobby went on to score twice in his debut for the club in 1956. The 'Busby Babe' went on to become a member of the World Cup winning England team in 1966. And in the same year he was named European Footballer of the Year. Throughout his 20 year career Sir Bobby earnt 106 England caps, bacame the squad's leading scorer with 49 goals and netted the ball 247 times for Manchester United. Sir Bobby now lives in Knutsford, the HQ for his soccer schools.

Andrew Flintoff
Born in Preston in December 1977, the right-hand batsman and right-arm fast medium bowler made his debut for Lancashire County Cricket Club aged 18. Three years later, in 1998, Flintoff played his England test debut against South Africa. In 2004 he had a starring role in England's series win in the Carribean and was also named Player of the Year by the Professional Cricketers' Association. The sportsman now lives in Knutsford.
